The championship golf course was designed and rebuilt by Mr. Kip Schultes in 2000. The course was sterilized, elevated, re-contoured, and re-routed with special attention and detail given to the green complexes and bunkering. We believe our greens are the finest in South Florida.
The course is surrounded by dense trees and vegetation insulating it from the city. The quiet beauty of the lakes and wildlife project the serenity of rural county parkland.
The course is a traditional par 72, 18 hole layout spread over 180 acres. From the tips, the course stretches to 6800 yards. With elevated greens, many dog legs and water holes, the golfer’s course management skills and shot making abilities are tested. With four sets of tees, the course is enjoyable to all levels of play.
The course has a large practice putting green adjacent to the first tee and there are two practice chipping greens and sand bunkers; one by the first tee and the other at the driving range. The full grass driving range allows practice with ‘all your weapons’.
The Club has a separate teaching area for private lessons and a full video learning center is available and recommended. Women’s Golf Clinics are offered during the week. Children’s Golf Clinics are offered on Sundays.
The Head Golf Professional is Mr. Marc Beeber. Marc, with his assistant pros and staff, are here to serve you and enhance your golf experience. The Pro Shop is well stocked and frequent Demo Days are held on the driving range. Demo clubs are available in the Pro Shop annd special items can be ordered and in house quickly. Re-gripping and re- shafting is done in house.
The Westview Women’s Golf Association is strong and active. Organized events are held every Tuesday when the ladies have priority to the golf course. In addition, there is the Women’s Club Championship, the Member–Member, and the Member-Guest tournament and the Interclub Series held with other local private equity clubs.
Men’s golf is less structured, and more individual. All skill and age levels are represented in our membership. Our golfers are friendly and the pro can always help you make games. The Men’s tournament schedule includes the Men’s Club Championship, the Senior Club Championship, the Handicap Club Championship, the Member-Member, the one day Member-Guest, the three day Member-Guest, and the Interclub Series.
Couples golf is emphasized. There are organized couples' tournaments on Sundays each month. In addition to a couples Member-Member and Member-Guest tournament. Post-round appetizers and cocktails make meeting new friends easy. The club is yours, to use and enjoy!
